Library Card

For Residents

Get a Library Card! Any resident of the Municipality of Brighton is entitled to a free library card!

Children up to and including the age of 15 must have a parent or guardian sign the back of the card, acknowledging that they are responsible for damaged or lost items checked out on the minor’s card.

For Non-Residents

Library memberships may be purchased by Non-Residents:

  • Annual Non-Resident Family Membership – $25.00
  • Annual Non-Resident Single Membership – $20.00
  • Six Month Non-Resident Membership – $10.00

Lost or Stolen Library Card

Report a lost or stolen library card immediately. Replacement cards are available for a $1.00 charge.

How to Get a Library Card

For Residents

If you are a resident of the Municipality of Brighton, you can complete the registration form below or visit one of our branches to obtain a library card.

You will receive a call when your library card is ready for pickup. You must present identification that includes your name and current address to receive a library membership.

For Non-Residents

There isn’t an online registration option for non-residents at this time. Visit one of our branches or give us a call at 613-475-2511.
